In this role you will lead a Software Engineering team within Playgami in Barcelona, guiding the design and delivery of scalable platform services for live games. You will shape technical direction and develop engineers, partnering with product, design, and leadership to enable world-class player experiences. You’ll focus on reliability, performance, and secure, low-latency systems that power millions of daily players. This is a hands-on leadership role with a clear impact on platform quality and team growth, on a hybrid work model. You will help scale Playgami to support Scopely’s ecosystem and ambitious game lineup.

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Software Engineers, including hiring and career development
• Foster collaboration, accountability, and engineering excellence within the team
• Guide design, architecture, and implementation of features and services for scalable live games
• Own technical quality and delivery, establishing practices across software, infrastructure,



and distributed systems
• Ensure systems are reliable, scalable, secure, and highly performant
• Collaborate with leadership, product managers, designers, and engineers to align goals and execution
• Share knowledge and provide feedback across teams
Responsabilidades
• Experience managing software engineering teams with hiring, performance management, and coaching
• Strong leadership with a track record of building high-performing teams
• Excellent written and verbal English communication
• Extensive software xqbhyrx development and system design experience
• Proficiency in Java, C#, or another object-oriented language with asynchronous/concurrent programming
• Hands-on cloud experience (AWS, GCP…) and low-latency, high-scale distributed systems
• Passion for solving complex problems and translating business needs into robust solutions
• Appreciation for business context and technical excellence
• Willingness to work across different technologies and collaborate in a team environment
