In this Senior FinOps Engineer role, you help Roche optimize cloud spending and AI-driven cost strategies to support digital product delivery. You will mentor engineers, define FinOps governance for AI consumption, and drive cost-conscious innovation within a integral hosting and infrastructure context. The position links financial discipline with cutting-edge cloud and AI workloads, shaping the organization’s technical direction and financial sustainability. You’ll collaborate across teams to turn infrastructure data into actionable business value, aligning with Roche’s mission to improve healthcare access.
Compensaciones / Beneficios
• Evaluate and integrate FinOps tools and methodologies (e.g., Cloudability, Apptio) to optimize the digital product lifecycle and cloud utilization
• Lead AI FinOps governance to balance high-performance AI workloads with cost rationalization
• Drive medium to large initiatives to improve enterprise-wide FinOps practices and cloud financial models
• Manage governance activities: invoicing, accruals, forecasting, and cloud saving plans across AWS, Azure, and GCP
• Stakeholder management: negotiate with vendors and internal customers for financial objectives
• Provide global-level support and thought leadership, including speaking at international events and driving Centers of Excellence
• Design and enforce standards for cloud financial reporting and automated cost monitoring in large-scale xqbhyrx environments
• Act as FinOps consultant and mentor to engineers, IT managers, and finance partners
Responsabilidades
• Extensive experience managing large workloads across traditional and cloud architectures (Serverless, Kubernetes, AI/ML infra)
• Proven track record in cloud finance control, budgeting, and cost-efficiency strategies
• Demonstrated leadership in strategic initiatives and coaching teams
• Bachelor in Computer Science
