Remote opportunity within SpainDeep Digital are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer with a proven track record in successfully implementing, optimizing, and maintaining the data integration and historian systems.This role involves advanced technical responsibilities and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless operation of data integration and historian systems. The idóneo candidate will possess in‑depth knowledge of industrial processes, data historian best practices, and a strong ability to lead and mentor junior team members.ResponsibilitiesLead the design, implementation, and optimization of data historian solutions.Lead efforts to integrate historian systems with various control systems and third‑party nduct performance analysis and implement strategies for continuous improvement.Design and configure complex data tags to meet specific project requirements.Develop custom interfaces and connectors to enhance data integration capabilities.Develop and implement advanced security measures to protect historical data.Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, taking a lead role in audits and assessments.Investigate and resolve complex issues related to data collection, storage,



and retrieval.Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers in the team.Maintain comprehensive documentation for all configurations, installations, and troubleshooting ply with Deep Digital's Quality Management System requirements by performing work according to process documents and procedures, and maintaining document information, completing department forms/records as required.RequirementsBachelors degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.Between 3 and 5 years of hands‑on experience with design, implementation and leadership in projects, comprising of the following systems: AVEVA PI, Aspen Tech IP.21, Aspen Tech Inmation, Inductive Automation Ignition, PTC Kepware.In‑depth knowledge of data integration and historian system architecture and components.Strong understanding of industrial processes and automation systems.Expertise with data contextualisation, visualisation and reporting platforms.Proficiency in scripting languages (e.G., Power Shell) for automation tasks.Previous experience in mentoring and leading a technical team.Good communication skills.Seniority levelMid‑Senior levelEmployment typeFull‑time
