Job DescriptionSoftware Developer – Aircraft Performance Tools to join Airbus Flight Physics Capability Operations team in Getafe (Madrid). This role focuses on developing On‑Board Aircraft Performance tools that generate, control and deliver aircraft performance databases embedded in avionics functions such as the Flight Management System.ResponsibilitiesCapture, understand and translate end‑users’ needs into objectives, software specifications and user stories.Implement required software modifications with the support of a subcontracting software development team.Perform software verification testing, including the definition of robust acceptance criteria.Support end‑users in Airbus Commercial Aircraft & Airbus Defence & Space by investigating and resolving identified problems in a timely manner.Manage administrative and project tasks associated with the software tools portfolio, including subcontracting activities.Learn and understand business processes across Flight Physics and Aircraft Performance to improve the tool landscape.QualificationsEducation: Aeronautical, Industrial, Software Engineering degree or a related discipline.Technical skills: Good software development skills, solid knowledge of Linux environments and Dev Ops/CI‑CD tools (Git, Jenkins, Artifactory, etc.).Soft skills: High adaptability, enthusiasm, intellectual curiosity and a can‑do attitude to interact effectively with local & transnational teams, subcontractors and customers.Languages: Advanced level in English (essential).Nice to have:
Experience with DO‑200 Standards (Processing Aeronautical Data);
experience or knowledgein Python, C/C++, Java, Matlab, Simulink, Fortran;
