At Körber Supply Chain, we design and deliver advanced automation and intralogistics systems for leading global customers, including large-scale parcel and distribution solutions.
As part of the expansion of our Sales organization in Spain, we are looking for a Pre-Sales Layout Engineer to support the design of complex automation solutions during the proposal phase.
This role offers the opportunity to directly influence system design in the early stages of international projects, translating customer needs into efficient and scalable solutions.
Your responsibilities As a Pre-Sales Layout Engineer, you will be responsible for developing layout concepts and technical solutions for automated parcel sorting systems.
Working closely with Bid Management, Sales and Engineering teams, you will contribute to the design of competitive and technically sound proposals.
Your responsibilities will include:
Designing detailed layouts for automated parcel sorting systems (conveyors, sorters, scanners, manual workstations)
Developing CAD layouts and material flow concepts aligned with Körber engineering standards
Translating customer operational requirements into efficient and scalable system solutions
Supporting bid and proposal activities with layout concepts, technical assumptions and system boundaries
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure feasibility,



performance and cost efficiency
Supporting the definition of system concepts and solution architecture during the pre-sales phase
Preparing technical documentation and supporting internal reviews throughout the sales process
What we are looking for Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical or similar)
2–3 years of experience in system design, layout engineering or intralogistics environments
Experience working with CAD tools and layout design
Understanding of material flow systems, conveyor systems or parcel handling solutions
Experience working in multidisciplinary teams
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
Languages English – business level (mandatory).
Spanish or Portuguese – business level.
German is a plus.
