In this role, you will lead the Smart Middle Office to own and evolve the middle-office operating model, driving process simplification, digitalisation, and stronger controls. You will work across Front Office, Operations, Risk, and Technology to deliver scalable, high-quality support and data-driven improvements. The position combines operational leadership with automation and AI-enabled workflow optimisation to enhance efficiency and risk governance. This is a strategic, cross-functional role at a global firm with a focus on continuous improvement and future-ready ways of working.

• Lead the Smart Middle Office team and own the middle-office operating model across Operations processes
• Provide people leadership aligned to values, conduct standards and regulatory expectations
• Own and enhance middle-office processes ensuring efficient support between Front Office, Operations, Risk, Technology and other functions
• Drive operational excellence by identifying inefficiencies, gaps, and scalability constraints with sustainable improvements
• Lead digitalisation and automation initiatives across middle-office workflows including AI-enabled reconciliation and exception handling
• Strengthen control environment with clear ownership, documentation, risk identification, KPI/KRI monitoring and audit readiness
• Serve as senior escalation point for complex issues, leading root-cause analysis and remediation in collaboration with Technology and external providers
• Partner with Front Office, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Audit, Technology to ensure service quality and alignment with business priorities
• Support strategic change initiatives by translating requirements into operating model enhancements and measurable outcomes




• Promote continuous improvement and data-led decision making including adoption of APIs, dashboards and AI-enabled capabilities

Responsabilidades
• Proven leadership in a global financial services organisation with cross-regional experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
• 10+ years in Operations, Middle Office, Asset Management or related environment
• Strong understanding of middle-office operating models, workflows, controls and risk governance
• Ability to identify process inefficiencies, perform root-cause analysis and implement improvements
• Experience with risk, controls, governance and audit readiness in operations
• Exposure to digital transformation, automation, AI-enabled work practices, workflow tooling and data analytics
• Comfort operating in a global, matrix environment with clear communication and stakeholder influence
• Strong analytical skills using data, KPIs and KRIs for decision-making
• Experience with investment operations platforms or workflow tools is a plus
• Ownership mindset to drive outcomes across a broad operational agenda
• Ability to translate requirements into practical delivery plans
• Strong problem-solving and stakeholder management capabilities
• Continuous improvement mindset focused on automation, scalability and service quality
• Collaborative leadership across regions, cultures, and functions
• Experience leveraging AI tools to enhance productivity with responsible data use
• Certifications or training in operations excellence, data analytics, automation or AI are a plus
