We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher interested in applying for a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship 2026 with MiceLab at the University of Girona, Spain.

Our research focuses on artificial intelligence for diabetes care. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in:

-

- large language models (LLMs) and foundation models for diabetes care

- agentic AI and autonomous AI systems in diabetes

- machine learning and clinical decision support

- glucose prediction and digital twins

- automated insulin delivery

- wearable devices and continuous glucose monitoring data

Possible research directions include multimodal foundation models combining clinical, glucose, behavioural, and wearable data; trustworthy AI agents supporting patients and healthcare professionals; and the use of LLMs to improve diabetes education, decision support, and personalised care.





The selected candidate will work with the MiceLab team to develop a competitive MSCA proposal based on their own research profile and ideas. The fellowship offers the opportunity to carry out an independent research project while gaining international experience and developing new scientific and professional skills.

Candidates should:

-

- hold a PhD by the MSCA call deadline

- have a strong research record in AI, data science, biomedical engineering, digital health, or a related field

- have experience relevant to diabetes care

- meet the MSCA mobility rule for Spain

- be motivated to prepare the proposal jointly with our team
