PM – Operational Readiness Stream Lead (Insurance Transformation)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Operational Readiness Stream Lead to support a major insurance transformation and portfolio migration program.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring business and operational readiness across all impacted functions, enabling a smooth transition of insurance portfolios, processes, systems, and teams into the target operating environment. You will work closely with Operations, IT, Risk, Compliance, Finance, Legal, Customer Service, and executive stakeholders to ensure a successful go-live and transition to Business as Usual (BAU).

Key Responsibilities

Operational Readiness & Transformation

- Lead operational readiness activities for large-scale transformation and migration programs.
- Conduct impact and gap assessments across business and operational functions.
- Translate business, system, and process changes into executable operational processes.
- Define and manage readiness milestones, dependencies, risks, and governance activities.

Process & Control Design

- Design and optimize operational procedures and controls.
- Define KPIs, operational controls, reconciliations, and governance mechanisms.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, customer protection, and internal control requirements.

Testing & Acceptance

- Define operational requirements and acceptance criteria.




- Support testing activities, business validations, and dry-run exercises.
- Coordinate remediation and mitigation plans for operational defects and data-quality issues.

Change Management & Training

- Design target operating models, RACI structures, and capacity plans.
- Lead training, knowledge transfer, user readiness, and adoption activities.
- Ensure teams are fully prepared for go-live and post-migration operations.

Cutover & Hypercare

- Own operational runbooks and readiness activities for cutover.
- Coordinate Day-1 readiness, support models, and hypercare activities.
- Manage fallback procedures, contingency plans, and business continuity arrangements.
- Support stabilization and transition to BAU.

Stakeholder & Executive Management

- Lead governance meetings and readiness reviews.
- Provide regular status reporting on readiness, risks, issues, dependencies, and resource requirements.
- Engage with senior business leaders and executive stakeholders throughout the program lifecycle.

Required Experience

- Minimum 8 years of project/program management experience.
- At least 3 years leading operational readiness, transformation, migration, or business transition initiatives.




- Strong background within Insurance or Financial Services.
