We are looking for an experienced Senior Safety Assurance Expert to join and strengthen the SQS safety team in day-to-day operations. In this role, you will play a crucial part in safety support assessments, lead critical safety analyses, and contribute to internal and external safety audits within the air traffic management and compliance ecosystem.
This is you
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in safety or compliance, preferably in the air traffic management (ATM) / air navigation services (ANS) area.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in an Engineering domain, IT, or Computer Science, complemented by relevant professional courses in the safety domain.
- Technical Expertise: Ability to assist with or lead (post-onboarding) Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) and thoroughly document results.
- Capability to contribute to reviews and improvements of established safety processes and procedures.
- Strong technical documentation, reporting skills, and solid data collection abilities for audit evidence preparation.
- Solid command of MS Office tools (Excel, SharePoint, Word, Visio).
- Core Competencies: Reliable, accurate, able to work under tight deadlines, and capable of working with decreasing supervision over time while communicating clearly and escalating effectively when blocked.
- Language Skills: Advanced (C1) in English and intermediate (B1) in French
- Preferred Qualifications (Advantageous): Knowledge of relevant EU regulations (e.g., Regulations (EU) 2017/373, 2019/123, Delegated Regulation (EU) 2023/1768, and Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/116).
- Basic knowledge of operational services provided by the Network Manager (Airspace Data Management, Flight Planning, Flow and Capacity Management, CCAMS, EAD).
- Background in Risk Management or an Internal Auditor introductory course certification.
This is your role
- Safety Support: Perform or contribute to safety support assessments and support the day-to-day tasks of the SQS safety team.
- Auditing & Compliance: Participate in internal and external safety audits, review audit findings and corrective actions, verify the effectiveness of implemented actions, and review incident feedback.
- Process Enhancement: Contribute to the review and update of safety processes and procedures, and provide training and briefings to newcomers.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively within the team, share knowledge, support colleagues, and adapt smoothly to changing requirements to ensure collective success.
