Role: Strategic Buyer

Location: Brussels / Belgium

I am searching for a Strategic Buyer to join the Procurement Team. You will work closely with technical and asset management teams across Belgium, developing procurement strategies for equipment and managing the full EU procurement process from defining selection and awarding criteria through to negotiation and contract award.

Roles

- Define and implement procurement strategies for strategic electrical equipment
- Work closely with technical and asset management departments to understand long-term requirements
- Analyse integral markets and identify potential suppliers
- Develop medium- to long-term procurement plans
- Organise and manage EU procurement procedures from A to Z, including supplier selection, negotiations and contract awarding
- Work closely with internal stakeholders across Brussels and Berlin and suppliers worldwide
- Take responsibility for a complete asset/equipment family, depending on experience




- Contribute to improving procurement processes, methods and tools

Profile

- 3+ years of experience in a technical environment, public procurement or project management
- Strong experience or understanding of EU procurement procedures
- Experience with contract negotiation and affinity with legal terminology
- Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently and take initiative
- Results-driven and resilient in a demanding environment
- Fluent in French, Dutch and English (one Fluent language + B2/C1 in the other two)
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office

Nice to have

- Knowledge of SAP Ariba
