- Analyzing subsystem and stakeholder requirements and structuring the Automation backlog
- Decomposing requirements into clear, testable, and actionable specifications for the Automation team
- Ensuring traceability in requirements management tools
- Clarifying expectations,
removing ambiguities, and supporting prioritization with Automation engineers
- Leading and facilitating technical discussions between Automation, the System/Device Owner, and Technical Teams
- Supporting arbitration of technical decisions with stakeholders
- Defining and maintaining structured development specifications and backlog items — scoped, prioritized, and linked to system-level objectives
- Following up on execution and resolving blocking points
- Producing and maintaining structured engineering documentation
- Ensuring compliance with development processes, quality standards, and medical device constraints.
Skills & Qualifications
- You hold a Master's degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related engineering field
- You have strong experience in automation technical leadership
- You are experienced in breaking down development specifications into actionable development tasks
- You have collaborated closely with Automation, software, or control teams
- You have a background in hardware or system engineering in R&D; environments
- You have experience in complex systems development (medical device is a strong asset)
- You are comfortable working in cross-functional and Agile environments
- Your communication skills are strong, in English and/or French
- You are structured and analytical, able to decompose complex problems into actionable elements
- You are hands-on and pragmatic, rigorous in documentation and traceability, and comfortable with ambiguity.
