Janet’s School of English is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable EFL teacher to join our team in September 2026.

We are an established language school located in Castelldefels, just a five-minute walk from the train station and approximately 25 minutes south of Barcelona.

What we offer

- Between 20 and 24.5 teaching hours per week, depending on experience and availability.
- Consecutive teaching hours, mainly in the afternoons and evenings.
- A gross monthly salary of €1,360–€1,764, depending on weekly hours and experience.
- The possibility of taking on additional private or company classes.
- Carefully selected coursebooks and teaching resources, with plenty of scope for teachers to contribute their own ideas and materials.
- Ongoing support and a monthly professional development workshop.

The role

You will teach young learners, teenagers and adults across a range of levels, using a dynamic and communicative approach.

Your responsibilities will include:





- Planning and delivering engaging lessons.
- Managing the classroom and providing constructive feedback.
- Setting weekly homework for all groups.
- Keeping attendance records and updating records of work on our online platform.
- Writing termly reports for young learners and teenagers, twice-yearly reports for adults, and one report for summer intensive courses.
- Maintaining high standards of reliability and punctuality.

Requirements

- A recognised English teaching qualification, such as CELTA, Trinity CertTESOL, TEFL, DELTA or equivalent.
- Legal authorisation to work in Spain.
- Experience teaching young learners, teenagers and adults.
- A valid certificate allowing you to work with minors in Spain, or willingness to obtain one.

Experience preparing students for Cambridge English Qualifications would be an advantage.
