Job Title : ServiceNow Developer
Experience: 3 to 5 years
Language: English + French/Dutch
Mode : Hybrid (3 days/Week)
Location: Brussels, Belgium
Duration of Contract: 06-12 months
Context:
Within the Common Application Development team, we build and evolve powerful applications that drive and connect multiple support teams across our organization. Every day, we collaborate closely with key partners—from Human Resources and Communications to the GEMS IS teams such as Security and Guards—to deliver smart, scalable solutions that make their work faster, easier, and more impactful. Together, we create the digital backbone that helps our organization move forward.
Main Activities:
As a Developer, you play a key role in shaping high-quality digital solutions from concept to delivery. Your responsibilities include:
- Collaborating directly with business stakeholders to understand their needs, challenges, and desired outcomes.
- Translating business requirements into clear, structured User Stories, ensuring they are actionable and ready for development.
- Breaking features into development steps, estimating the complexity and effort required for each component with precision.
- Actively participating in Sprint Planning and retrospectives, contributing to continuous improvement and team alignment.
- Designing, developing, and documenting robust software components, applying engineering best practices throughout the lifecycle.
- Reporting progress on a weekly basis, providing transparency and enabling smooth coordination across the team.
- Ensuring high-quality, on-time delivery,
consistently meeting commitments and respecting deadlines.

Education & professional background
Bachelor in Information systems – Study with clear IT background
Hard skills
Must have:
1. ServiceNow Certifications, demonstrating strong platform fundamentals: Certified System Administrator (CSA)
2. Certified Implementation Specialist – IT Service Management (CIS-ITSM)
Good to have:
- Understanding of API-based integrations, enabling smooth communication between ServiceNow and external applications.
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Studio, contributing to efficient and structured application development.
- Familiarity with Git-based source control, supporting modern collaborative development workflows.
- Exposure to Now Assist AI, leveraging AI-powered features to enhance development, automation, and user experience.
Nice to have:
1. ServiceNow Micro-Certifications, such as: Flow Designer
2. Virtual Agent
3. IntegrationHub
4. Predictive Intelligence
5. Mobile App Development
6. 7. Experience with Azure DevOps, including pipelines and CI/CD integration.
