We are looking for an experienced Workplace Support Technician to join the GEMS-IS Helpdesk & Workplace Solutions team in Brussels. The role focuses on 1st & 2nd line IT support, workplace technologies, end-user support, mobile devices and workplace projects within a large enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1st & 2nd line support via phone, email and in person.
- Handle, coordinate and follow up on IT incidents and service requests.
- Provide end-user support for laptops, desktops, smartphones, tablets and mobile devices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software incidents.
- Configure, install and maintain Windows and Mac workstations.
- Manage Workstation/IT assets.
- Provide VIP IT and proximity support.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external suppliers to resolve technical issues.
- Prepare and maintain support documentation.
- Contribute to Workplace transformation, innovation and improvement projects.
- Support workplace and mobile architecture initiatives at a conceptual level.
- Work within IT service management processes and agreed SLAs.
Mandatory Functional Skills
- Advanced Troubleshooting
- Advanced Proximity / On-site IT Support
- Advanced Helpdesk / Hotline Support
- Advanced Mobile Services Support – smartphones, tablets & MDM
- Advanced VIP IT Support
- ITIL – desirable
Candidate Profile
- 5–8 years of Workplace / EUC / Helpdesk support experience.
- Experience supporting 1,000+ users in a large enterprise environment.
- Strong customer-facing and communication skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working under pressure and taking ownership of issues.
- Service-oriented with an interest in modern workplace technologies.
- Experience in a Trading environment is an advantage.
