As Project Manager SecDef, you are responsible for translating strategic objectives into concrete projects, demonstrators and implementation trajectories.

You coordinate complex multi-stakeholder initiatives involving government agencies, defence organisations, industry partners and research teams. You ensure that projects are delivered efficiently, stakeholder interests are aligned and operational requirements are effectively translated into actionable work programmes.

You act as a bridge between innovation, technology development and operational deployment, helping to transform promising concepts into practical solutions that strengthen resilience, security and defence capabilities.

What will you do?

Project management & coordination

• Lead the execution of strategic security and defence related projects from initiation through implementation and evaluation.

• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams consisting of researchers, engineers, technology experts and external stakeholders.

• Ensure effective planning, resource allocation,



risk management and project governance.

• Monitor project progress, budgets, milestones and deliverables.

• Facilitate decision-making and ensure alignment between project objectives and strategic priorities.

Stakeholder management & ecosystem coordination

• Build and maintain relationships with defence organisations, public authorities, industry partners and knowledge institutions.

• Facilitate collaboration between operational users, technology developers and policy stakeholders.

• Act as a trusted point of contact for project partners and external stakeholders.

• Organise workshops, demonstrations, validation exercises and stakeholder engagement activities.

Operational translation & implementation

• Translate strategic objectives and operational needs into concrete project activities and implementation plans.
