In this role you will lead the development of installation tooling for wind turbines, overseeing the full lifecycle from concept to field validation. You will guide a cross-functional team, manage suppliers, and ensure safety and ergonomic considerations in tooling and processes. You will create design packages, conduct reviews, and hand off mature tools to regional teams for autonomous operation. You will support on-site validations and help train installation leaders and technicians, driving safe and efficient turbine installations.

• Manage tooling development projects from concept through industrialization using the NPI process
• Lead a cross-functional team to define requirements, develop concepts, and produce technical specs for tooling and processes
• Engage with and manage suppliers to finalize design and manufacturing
• Generate concepts that optimize end-user experience and workflow
• Apply systems thinking to map installation operations and capture actionable design details
• Incorporate user feedback and assess safety and ergonomics in tooling design
• Conduct design reviews, FMEAs, and structural assessments to meet GE and industry safety standards
• Create design packages and hand off to regional and Integral Tech Ops teams for self-sufficiency
• Support on-site validations and assist in training installation leaders and technicians
Responsabilidades
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or equivalent) xqbhyrx
• Minimum 3 years of combined engineering experience
• Hands-on experience applying technical knowledge in practical settings
• Mechanical domain expertise focusing on lifting/rigging or hydraulics/gearing (preferred)
• Willingness to travel globally up to 15%
• Team-oriented, proactive, and self-motivated
• Strong verbal and written communication with senior management and technicians
• Familiarity with CAD and Finite Element Analysis
