The Operations Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing the execution of vessel call operations managed through the Global Hub, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality agency services across all ports and regions. The role provides operational leadership, guidance, and support to Tramp Operators, ensuring compliance with Noatum Maritime Service standards, client requirements, financial controls, and operational KPIs.

The Operations Manager acts as the key escalation point for complex operational matters, drives operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives, ensures effective stakeholder management, and contributes to the achievement of the company's strategic growth and service objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

- GOC Operations Leadership: Leads and manages all GOC operational activities, ensuring alignment with governance frameworks and service delivery expectations.
- SOP Development & Governance: Develops, implements, and maintains SOPs and governance standards to ensure operational consistency and compliance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborates with internal stakeholders to support operational excellence and business objectives.
- Operational Leadership & Vessel Call Management: Oversee the end-to-end execution of vessel calls,



ensuring operational excellence, compliance with client and regulatory requirements, effective resource allocation, and timely resolution of operational issues, while providing guidance and support to Tramp Operators in complex situations.
- Team Leadership & People Management: Lead, develop, and support operational personnel through performance management, coaching, recruitment, training, and employee engagement initiatives, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Client & Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders, ensuring effective management of service issues, supporting commercial initiatives, and driving customer satisfaction and retention.
- Operational Performance & Reporting: Monitor operational performance and KPIs, ensuring accurate reporting, data analysis, and the identification of trends, risks, and improvement opportunities to support management decision-making.
- Financial Control & Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial procedures, prefunding requirements, cost-control measures, billing accuracy, and operational documentation standards, while supporting the resolution of cost and supplier-related issues.
- Process Improvement & Digital Transformation: Drive process standardization, continuous improvement, and the implementation of digital solutions to enhance operational efficiency, service quality, and best-practice adoption across the organization.
- Risk Management & Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and maritime standards, managing operational risks, incident investigations, corrective actions, and the confidential handling of operational and commercial information.

Minimum requirements

- Vocational or Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Master's degree or professional qualification in Shipping, Maritime Operations, or Management is considered an advantage.
- Advanced knowledge of maritime operations, including port agency activities, vessel husbandry services, shipping procedures, port operations, customs processes, and applicable regulations.
- Proficiency in operational reporting systems, ERP platforms, and digital collaboration tools.
- 5-8 years of experience within the maritime, shipping, or port agency industry.
- Minimum 2-3 years of people management and operational leadership experience, including leading operational teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Knowledge of additional languages (e.g., Spanish, French, Portuguese, Arabic or Mandarin) are considered a plus.
- Proven experience managing vessel call operations, customer relationships, and multiple stakeholders across different geographies.
- Experience managing operational performance, KPIs, and service quality initiatives.
- Demonstrated success in process improvement and change management projects.
- Strategic Thinking: Understand operational activities within the context of broader business objectives.
- Problem Solving: Quickly identify root causes and implement practical solutions.
- Communication & Influencing Skills: Communicate clearly with clients, leadership, and operational teams.
