In this role you will lead statistical programming activities within AstraZeneca CVRM Biometrics, delivering high-quality, timely project outputs. You will guide other programmers and act as a subject-matter expert in programming within cross-functional teams, driving continuous improvement and best practices. Based in Barcelona with hybrid flexibility, you will influence delivery standards and partner with external vendors to propel clinical development programs. This is a senior, delivery-focused leadership position with a clear impact on patient outcomes and scientific knowledge management.

• Lead the full scope of project delivery or technical project within a TA/Drug Project/Study/Function
• Ensure high quality deliverables and accountability of partners and providers
• Drive cross-functional process improvements and best practices to enhance quality and efficiency
• Develop and implement standards and automation to support programming activities




• Manage risk in complex or novel situations and provide programming expertise to the team
• Mentor and train junior staff and support recruiting
• Oversee external partners (CROs) activities and influence stakeholders on programming items
• Maintain current knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards (CDISC)
Responsabilidades
• Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Life Science, or equivalent
• Excellent programming skills in SAS (or R) and SAS macros
• Thorough knowledge xqbhyrx of the clinical development process and industry standards (CDISC)
• Ability to apply programming expertise to problem solving and troubleshooting
• Ability to manage concurrent activities and influence stakeholders
• Proactive risk management in complex situations
• Project mindset and capability to manage drug/technical projects
