Unio Search have partnered with a specialist European sterile drug-product CDMO to appoint a Senior Director of Sales, responsible for expanding its North American client base.
The company supports biotechnology and pharmaceutical clients from early clinical development through to commercial supply, offering rapid access to GMP manufacturing capacity and an integrated service covering:
Formulation and process development
Sterile liquid and lyophilised vial filling
Clinical and low-volume commercial manufacturing
Analytical and microbiological testing
Clinical labelling and packaging
QP release, storage and distribution
Their technical teams have experience handling complex and high-value products including mAbs, ADCs, viral vectors, cell and gene therapy products, RNA, peptides, vaccines, cytotoxic compounds and other highly potent molecules .
This is an exciting point in the company’s growth. It has invested in additional commercial manufacturing capacity and is well positioned to support clients requiring versátil batch sizes, rapid timelines, specialist handling and an experienced partner capable of progressing products from the clinic into commercial supply.
The role is remote and can be based anywhere in Europe (including the UK) ,



with periodic travel to North America and to the company’s UK manufacturing facilities.
The successful candidate will be a senior, hands-on business developer who can:
Originate and close new business across North America
Develop relationships with emerging biotech, specialty pharma and established pharmaceutical companies
Sell both clinical and low-volume commercial drug-product programmes
Identify opportunities early in the biotech funding and development cycle
Lead opportunities through technical evaluation, proposal, negotiation and contract award
Work closely with manufacturing, quality, technical and project management colleagues
We are particularly interested in candidates with:
A proven track record in CDMO business development
Strong knowledge of sterile drug product or aseptic fill-finish
An established network across the North American biotechnology and pharmaceutical market
Experience securing new clients rather than solely managing existing accounts
The technical credibility to discuss complex injectable products and manufacturing challenges
An entrepreneurial, collaborative and commercially disciplined approach
