About the Role As a Lead Software Engineer , you will take ownership of significant cross‑domain initiatives, influence architectural direction, and guide engineering teams through complex technical challenges. You will partner closely with Senior Engineering Managers (SEMs), architects, and cross‑functional leads to plan and deliver large, strategic programs. You will also serve as a technical role model—driving high‑quality engineering practices, ensuring robust delivery forecasting, and elevating the technical maturity of your domain.
Technology Stack Our cloud‑native, multi‑tenant SaaS platform runs on AWS. We use Kotlin, Java, SpringBoot, Docker, Kubernetes, Apache Kafka, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL on the backend, and ReactJS and TypeScript on the frontend. Our continuous delivery pipeline leverages GitLab. We are using Prometheus, ElasticSearch, Kibana and Grafana as our logging and monitoring stack.

Independently design and develop high‑quality features while continuously improving domain quality (logging, error handling, documentation, API clarity).
Flexible working time and location
Compensation For Spain, the base salary range for this position is between EUR 60,000 and EUR 100,000 (for a full‑time role). In addition to your base salary, Swiss Re offers an attractive performance‑based variable compensation component, designed to recognise your achievements.
