Role OverviewThe Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and technical documentation of mechanical solutions supporting automated and industrial equipment. The role focuses on delivering robust, manufacturable, and cost-efficient mechanical designs aligned with project, quality, and operational requirements.The position works closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams, supporting product standardization, continuous improvement initiatives, and component localization activities to strengthen the integrated business processes within the Cardona facility.Key ResponsibilitiesMechanical Design & EngineeringDevelop mechanical designs and assemblies using 3 D CAD tools (Autodesk Inventor or equivalent).Create and maintain detailed CAD drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.Ensure designs meet functional, safety, quality, and manufacturability requirements.Support design reviews and engineering validation ntribute to product standardization and modular design initiatives.Process & Manufacturing SupportSupport manufacturing and assembly teams during build and implementation phases.Provide technical troubleshooting and engineering support when required.Ensure engineering solutions are aligned with manufacturing capabilities and operational efficiency and installation phases.Supply Chain & Component LocalizationSupport Supply Chain in the identification and localization of key components and suppliers.Ensure technical alignment between engineering requirements and supplier ntribute to cost optimization initiatives through design improvements and component ntinuous ImprovementParticipate in continuous improvement and value engineering initiatives.Support engineering improvements to enhance reliability, performance, and cost ntribute to strengthening integrated engineering and manufacturing processes within the site.Required QualitificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.Solid mechanical engineering background within industrial or automation environments.Strong experience in 3 D CAD design, preferably Autodesk Inventor.Ability to produce accurate CAD drawings and technical documentation.Good understanding of manufacturing processes and mechanical systems.Experience working in international and multidisciplinary environments is an advantage.Fluent English requiredPreferred SkillsExperience in automated machinery or industrial equipment design.Understanding of supplier development and component sourcing processes.Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA).Experience working in international and cross-functional environmentsKey Skills & CompetenciesAnalytical and structured problem-solving approach.Strong technical ownership and attention to llaboration and cross-functional ntinuous improvement mindset.Ability to work in a dynamic project environmentWorking ConditionsOffice and manufacturing plant environment with regular shop floor interaction.Occasional travel may be required for supplier visits or project support.
