What you'll do Oversee all operational activities within Mexico, ensuring that processes are efficient, compliant with regulations, and in line with Flexport's general standards.
Develop and implement local business strategies that align with both regional and global growth objectives, driving the company's expansion in the market.
Identify, negotiate, and establish partnerships with local service providers to enhance Flexport's network capabilities and service offerings.
Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence within the organization.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with customers by ensuring high service quality and addressing any issues that arise promptly.
Take ownership of the commercial strategy for Flexport Mexico, guiding the local sales team to expand existing client accounts and attract new business.
Monitor local market trends, customer preferences,
and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities and adjust strategies accordingly.
Ensure that all operational practices adhere to legal, regulatory, and ethical standards, maintaining Flexport's reputation in the market.
Requirements A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain management, demonstrating a solid understanding of the industry.
At least 7 years of experience in a leadership capacity, showcasing the ability to manage teams effectively.
Proven track record of successfully growing a freight forwarding business within Mexico, with tangible results.
Established connections with local stakeholders in the freight forwarding sector, including buyers and service providers.
In-depth knowledge of the Mexican logistics landscape, including familiarity with local partners, airlines, shipping lines, and relevant government regulations.
Capability to devise and execute operational strategies that promote both growth and efficiency within the organization.
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage relationships with customers and partners effectively.
Hands-on experience in managing complex supply chain operations, with a focus on process improvement and the implementation of technology solutions.
Nice to have Experience in the broader Latin American logistics market, providing insights that can benefit Flexport's regional strategy.
Familiarity with digital tools and platforms that enhance supply chain visibility and efficiency.
Previous experience working in a startup or high-growth environment, demonstrating adaptability and innovative thinking.

In-depth knowledge of the freight forwarding industry, including best practices and emerging trends.
