The Role
What you will do
- Design and own the architecture of the software delivery flow: pipelines, quality gates and the tools that connect them.
- Build and maintain the CI/CD platform so it stays reliable and performs well as usage grows.
- Automate operational and deployment tasks that currently fall on development or operations teams.
- Work with QA to embed automated quality and performance gates into the delivery flow.
- Define and publish the KPIs that show how the platform affects developer productivity and operational efficiency.
- Act as the senior technical reference: unblock complex problems and set engineering standards.
- Mentor mid-level and junior engineers and help them grow.
- Work with development, operations and security teams to find friction and remove it.
What success looks like in your first year
- Delivery lead time and change failure rate are measured, visible and trending in the right direction.
- Teams self-serve common pipeline tasks instead of raising tickets.
- Engineers you mentor have grown measurably with your support.
Who You Are
What you will bring
- 5+ years building and operating CI/CD pipelines, with at least one of the GitHub or GitLab ecosystems (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) or Jenkins.
- Hands-on experience designing software delivery platforms or distributed systems at scale.
- Strong working knowledge of containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and at least one Infrastructure as Code tool
