A leading UK-based multinational company undergoing expansion is seeking to appoint a temporary People Lead.

Role Overview

- Temporary role to cover a Maternity Leave (8-month contract).
- Must have experience working in startups, building and growing HR teams.

Responsibilities

- Act as the local People contact for all general employee queries and HR-related issues, ensuring compliance with local law.
- Coach and empower managers to handle people issues consistently and effectively.
- Guide organisational change and restructuring processes, advising on best practices and local legislation.
- Support company communications for the Spanish market to ensure cultural alignment and understanding.
- Oversee the full employee lifecycle in Spain, from managing hiring and onboarding to offboarding employees.
- Develop and manage strategic partnerships with universities and business schools to build a pipeline of future talent.
- Administer payroll and benefits, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Maintain accurate HR data in the HR Information System (HRIS)



and prepare necessary reports.
- Lead the localisation of training programs and manage the induction process for new hires.
- Work with People Experience on local health and safety, inventory and events management.
- Collaborate with the UK People team to ensure general consistency while implementing local initiatives, applying team based standards across HR, Talent Acquisition and People Operations & Reward.
- Propose continuous improvements to working practices based on your on-the-ground knowledge.
- Promoting a culture of inclusivity and innovation.
- Support with such other duties as may be required from the role from time to time.
