Position Purpose

Act as the Project Representative at the steel structure and block fabrication yard, leading and overseeing all fabrication activities to ensure compliance with the project’s safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate all fabrication activities related to heavy steel structures, blocks, and offshore components.
- Monitor daily production progress and verify compliance with agreed fabrication schedules.
- Coordinate activities between the fabricator and the project engineering, planning, quality, and construction teams.
- Identify schedule, productivity, quality, or resource deviations and propose and implement corrective actions.
- Oversee cutting, fit-up, welding, assembly, surface treatment, and transportation preparation processes.
- Ensure compliance with technical specifications, fabrication procedures, and contractual requirements.
- Coordinate and support inspection activities, non-destructive testing (NDT), and certification processes.
- Manage and follow up on non-conformities, rework activities, and corrective action plans.
- Prepare progress reports and periodic updates for project management.
- Promote a strong Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) culture across all fabrication activities.
- Participate in coordination meetings with the fabricator and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Supervise the preparation of structures for load-out, transportation, and final delivery.

Required Profile

-Education

- Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Additional qualifications in welding, offshore construction,



or project management will be considered an advantage.

-Experience

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in heavy steel structure fabrication.
- Demonstrated experience in offshore, oil & gas, offshore wind, shipbuilding, or large-scale industrial projects.
- Proven experience managing and supervising international fabricators and subcontractors.
- Practical knowledge of large-capacity fabrication yards and modular construction operations.

-Technical Knowledge

- Steel structure fabrication and assembly.
- Advanced welding processes and dimensional control.
- Interpretation of engineering drawings and fabrication documentation.
- International codes and standards applicable to offshore steel structures.
- Quality management, inspections, and non-destructive testing (NDT).
- Production planning and control.
- HSE procedures within complex industrial environments.

-Languages

- Fluent English is mandatory.
- Italian is considered an advantage.
- Spanish is considered an advantage.
