AWS Cloud & Platform Engineering Specialist

Location- Brussels (Hybrid)

Key Responsibilities

- Act as senior technical lead for cloud and platform engineering workstreams, combining hands-on delivery with technical thought leadership.
- Build and manage IaaS orchestration frameworks and automation.
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for platform engineering.
- Drive platform modernization efforts, including database consolidation.
- Contribute to cost optimization/FinOps initiatives with actionable recommendations.
- Mentor engineers and establish technical direction and best practices for the team.

Required Skills

- 7+ years of hands-on AWS engineering experience, with recent experience in a senior/technical lead role.
- Strong expertise in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline, etc.).
- Experience with IaaS orchestration and automation (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
- Experience with FinOps tools/practices (AWS Cost Explorer, CUR, third-party FinOps platforms).
- Prior experience leading technical workstreams or mentoring engineers.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical decisions to leadership.
