We are looking for a hands-on Data Engineer to develop and maintain an Azure-based data platform. You will focus on SQL transformations, data pipelines, storage solutions, and platform optimisation, helping deliver scalable, high-quality data for analytics and reporting.

Your Tasks

- Build, monitor, and optimise data pipelines
- Design and improve data storage solutions
- Develop and maintain scalable, high-performing SQL transformations.
- Ensure data quality, reliability, security, and platform performance.
- Collaborate with analysts and business teams to provide accessible, fit-for-purpose datasets.
- Support data governance, compliance, and security requirements.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, such as Microsoft Fabric and Databricks, based on their practical value.

Your Requirements

- Around five years of professional experience in data engineering




- Strong SQL skills and experience with modern data platforms and transformation processes.
- Good knowledge of data modelling and schema design principles.
- Experience building efficient, scalable pipelines for large datasets.
- Familiarity with Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Data Lake.
- Strong collaboration skills when working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Dutch is an advantage.
- Curiosity about emerging technologies and a practical approach to continuous improvement.
