We are looking for a Database Developer with deep expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL who also enjoys managing and optimizing database environments. This hybrid role combines hands-on database development with SQL Server administration, allowing you to design high‑performing SQL solutions while ensuring the stability, security, and reliability of our Microsoft SQL Server–based data warehouse platform.

You will work closely with data engineers, business analysts, and application developers to develop efficient database solutions, optimize complex SQL workloads, and maintain production SQL Server environments.

Location: Slovakia (Employee contract or B2B for foreigners from other EU countries)

Salary: Employee contract from 2,700 EUR gross/month (depending on seniority) or B2B. We are open to discussing compensation based on your experience.

Please note that this position is based in Europe.

Responsibilities

-

- Design, develop, and optimize complex T‑SQL solutions (stored procedures, functions, views, scripts) for data warehouse.

- Improve database performance through query tuning, execution plan analysis, indexing strategies, and SQL Server optimization.

- Administer and maintain Microsoft SQL Server , including SSIS, SSAS,



database security, monitoring, backup/recovery, patching, and capacity planning.

- Ensure high availability, reliability, and operational excellence through proactive monitoring, incident management, root cause analysis, and disaster recovery planning.

- Collaborate with Data Engineers, Developers, and Business Analysts to design scalable database solutions and promote SQL Server best practices.

Required Qualifications

-

- Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft SQL Server development and administration.

- Advanced T‑SQL skills (stored procedures, functions, views, CTEs, window functions, transactions, error handling, set‑based programming).

- Experience with SQL performance tuning, including execution plan analysis, query optimization, indexing, statistics, blocking/deadlock resolution, and tempdb optimization.

- Experience supporting data warehouse, BI, or analytical workloads.

- Solid knowledge of SQL Server security, backup & recovery, maintenance, and Windows Server fundamentals.

Nice to Have

-

- Experience with SSIS , SSAS , and Azure SQL (Managed Instance or SQL Server on Azure VMs).

- Familiarity with Power BI , CI/CD for databases, PowerShell, or SQL Server automation. xqbhyrx
