We firmly believe that people are the key factor for our present and future success, with an unequivocal commitment to generating a work culture that enhances their talent. /p h3bMission /b /h3 pLead the medical strategy for the Rare Diseases unit in Iberia (Spain and Portugal), ensuring scientific excellence, evidence generation, and integration of the patient perspective throughout the product lifecycle.br/Act as a strategic business partner, aligned with the integral strategy, contributing to maximizing access, clinical value, and patient impact through close cross-functional collaboration.br/The role combines team leadership (3 MSLs and 2 Medical Advisors), strategic vision, health value generation, and high-level scientific representation. /p h3bKey Responsabilities and Functions /b /h3 pb1. Medical Strategic Leadership /b /p ul liDefine and lead the Rare Diseases medical strategy in Iberia aligned with the global strategy. /li liEnsure integration of the medical strategy within Integrated Brand Plans and launch plans. /li liContribute as a key member of the Business Unit Leadership Team. /li liIdentify portfolio growth opportunities and new indications (lifecycle management). /li /ul pb2. Oversight of Evidence Generation and Medical Value /b /p ul liDefine and execute the evidence generation strategy (RWE, clinical studies, HEOR). /li liDrive the publication and scientific communication plan (congresses, articles). /li liEnsure the availability of strong scientific arguments for access and positioning.
/li liPromote the incorporation of external insights to identify unmet medical needs /li /ul pb3. Access and Cross-functional Collaboration /b /p ul liCollaborate closely with Market Access and Pricing in building value propositions and dossiers. /li liParticipate in negotiation and positioning processes with health authorities. /li liWork with Marketing and Commercial teams ensuring appropriate and compliant use of scientific content. /li /ul pb4. Patient Focus and Ecosystem /b /p ul liLead the patient engagement and patient advocacy strategy in Rare Diseases. /li liEstablish strategic collaborations with patient associations and integrate their voice into the overall strategy. /li liCo-develop high-value patient support programs (PSPs). /li /ul pb5. External Stakeholder Engagement /b /p ul liLead the development of relationships between the medical team and KOLs, scientific societies, and reference centres. /li liRepresent the company in scientific forums and international meetings. /li liFacilitate high-level scientific exchange. /li /ul pb6. Team Leadership /b /p ul liLead, develop, and evaluate the team of MSLs and Medical Advisors. /li liEnsure excellence in execution of territorial plans and scientific engagement. /li liFoster a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous development /li /ul pb7. Scientific Excellence and Compliance /b /p ul liEnsure quality, scientific rigor, and regulatory compliance in all activities. /li liOversee proper management of medical information and internal training /li /ul pb8. External Perspective and Transformation /b /p ul liMonitor environmental trends (regulatory, scientific, digital). /li liDrive digitalisation initiatives, e-health, and new ways of engagement. /li liHelp position Medical as a key strategic partner within the organisation.
