As Payroll Specialist Lead, you drive accurate, compliant payroll for Poland within Remote’s global payroll framework. You will collaborate with Payroll Operations, Tax, Finance, Product, and Customer Success, guiding payroll execution and ensuring scalability. You’ll tackle complex payroll scenarios in a distributed, async environment and contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives. Compensaciones / Beneficios
• Own end-to-end payroll execution for assigned jurisdictions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance
• Act as SME on country payroll requirements and stay updated on legislative changes
• Support rollout of payroll services in new jurisdictions and integrate processes into workflows
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders on country payroll matters
• Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies, risks, or compliance issues with escalation when needed
• Contribute to continuous improvement of payroll processes and documentation
• Support system enhancements, statutory updates, and operational improvements impacting payroll
• Promote adoption of automation and AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency and scalability
• Participate in testing for payroll systems and process improvements
Responsabilidades
• Hands-on experience in end-to-end payroll processing in Poland
• Experience managing payroll in multi-country environments and exposure to different payroll systems
• Strong understanding of payroll controls, reconciliations, statutory reporting, and compliance
• Experience working with internal and external stakeholders in payroll ecosystems
• Analytical, detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills in complex payroll scenarios
• Fluency in English; additional languages a plus
• Experience with automation and AI capabilities in payroll
• Comfort in async, globally distributed teams
• Proficient in payroll tools and data analysis using in-house and external platforms
• Background in remote or globally distributed teams is advantageous
