Our mission is to decode and modulate neural networks to improve people's lives. /p pAs a Process Engineer, you wll play a key role in developing, executing and transferring semiconductor and microfabrication processes into repeatable manufacturing. The position requires strong hands‑on cleanroom experience and practical knowledge of wafer-level processes. The engineer will support process development, equipment activities, troubleshooting, documentation and continuous improvement across several development and manufacturing programs. /p pYou will be at the forefront of bringing advanced healthcare solutions to market, making a tangible difference in people´s lives worldwide. /p pThis position will be office-based in Bellaterra and from 2027 in Barcelona city. /p h3Main responsibilities: /h3 ul liDevelopment-to-Production Transfer: Support the transfer of prototype designs and processes into controlled and repeatable manufacturing, with a focus on yield improvement, process robustness, design optimization and manufacturing readiness. This includes creating and refining Bills of Materials, Bills of Process, equipment specifications, manufacturing recipes, testing protocols and work instructions. /li liDevelop, optimize and scale semiconductor and microfabrication processes, including lithography, deposition, etching, lift-off, polymer processing, cleaning, bonding and other wafer-level processes. /li liExecute cleanroom and laboratory activities, including wafer processing, sample preparation, inspection, characterization and data collection. /li liTroubleshoot and resolve process issues related to materials, equipment, adhesion, patterning, uniformity, contamination and process integration. /li liPlan and execute experiments and DOEs to establish process windows, improve yield and reduce process variability. /li liSupport equipment selection, installation, qualification, process bring-up and tool acceptance. /li liCoordinate technical activities with external foundries, equipment suppliers, material suppliers and characterization laboratories. /li liApply process-control and risk‑management methods, including SPC, FMEA and root‑cause analysis, to improve process stability and manufacturing readiness. /li liPrepare and maintain process documentation, technical reports, work instructions, process flows and risk assessments. /li liCommunicate process deviations,
technical risks and potential delays in a timely and transparent manner. /li liTake ownership of assigned technical activities and follow them through to completion. /li liWork closely with cross‑functional teams to support new product introduction, manufacturing scale‑up and continuous improvement. /li /ul h3Mandatory Qualifications and Soft skills: /h3 ul liBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Materials Science, Semiconductor Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or a related field. /li liAt least 3 years of hands‑on experience in semiconductor manufacturing, microfabrication, MEMS, wafer processing or a related cleanroom environment. /li liFluency in English required (English is company language). /li liPractical experience with several semiconductor process technologies such as lithography, thin‑film deposition, etching, lift‑off, polymer processing, plasma processing, cleaning or bonding. /li liExperience developing, optimizing, troubleshooting or transferring processes from development into pilot production or manufacturing. /li liUnderstanding of process integration, material compatibility, adhesion, contamination control and multilayer structures. /li liExperience planning experiments, analysing process data and identifying the root causes of process failures. /li liExperienceworking directly with equipment, wafers, samples and process materials. /li liExperience preparing process documentation, technical reports and controlled manufacturing records. /li liFamiliarity with process‑control and risk‑management methods such as DOE, SPC and FMEA. /li liAbility to organise and execute technical activities independently and complete agreed deliverables with limited supervision /li liUses data and structured problem‑solving to identify root causes and implement practical solutions. /li liMaintains accuracy and discipline in process execution, data collection and documentation. /li liCommunicates deviations, delays and technical risks early. /li liCan organise and execute technical work without continuous follow‑up. /li liCollaborative, adaptable and Clear communicator. /li /ul h3Nice to have (optional): /h3 ul liExperience in semiconductor, MEMS, adaptable‑electronics or medical‑device manufacturing. /li liExperience with PVD, sputtering, ALD, CVD, plasma processing, laser processing or wafer bonding.
/li liExperience with polyimide, flexible substrates, thin‑film metals, glass substrates, graphene‑derived materials or biocompatible materials. /li liExperience with characterization and inspection techniques such as SEM, AFM, XPS, profilometry, ellipsometry or optical inspection. /li liExperience working with external semiconductor foundries, contract manufacturers or equipment suppliers. /liliExperience with equipment installation, qualification, FAT, SAT or process acceptance. /li liFamiliarity with MES, PLM, yield‑management or manufacturing‑data systems. /li liExperience working in an ISO 13485, GMP or another regulated environment. /li /ul pWe are looking for someone who Is ready to proactively bring new ideas to the team, push boundaries, and constantly look for innovation.
