Fresh perspectives, tools, and programs are always welcome. /p h3What You'll do: /h3 ul liDesign, build, and maintain highly scalable and resilient backend services using Scala. /li liDevelop event-driven, distributed systems leveraging Akka and Kafka. /li liCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design,
and ship new features that deliver real product value. /li liContribute to architectural decisions and continuously evolve our backend stack with new tools and best practices. /li liTroubleshoot production issues, optimize system performance, and proactively drive improvements. /li liShare knowledge with teammates, mentor junior developers, and help raise the technical bar across the team /li /ul pPlease note that participation in an on-call rotation every 4-6 weeks will be required for this role after the initial onboarding period. /p h3What You'll bring:br/ /h3 ul liScala: Proficiency and hands‑on experience. /li liAkka/Pekko: Building resilient distributed event‑driven systems is second nature to you. /li liExperience working with Kafka, including event streaming, messaging patterns, and integration into microservices. /li liAt least 3 years of proven experience in Scala or project management. /li liProduct‑minded: You think in terms of impact, user value, and business outcomes. /li liA strong communicator: You’re able to explain both technical and product concepts clearly. /li liYou thrive in ambiguity: When requirements are unclear, you ask the right questions, align with stakeholders, and find a way forward. /li liOrganized and proactive: You take ownership and keep things moving. /li liCollaborative: You enjoy working closely with engineers, designers, and stakeholders. /li liProficiency in professional‑level English communication, both written and verbal. /li /ul br/ h3Nice to have: /h3 pPlease note, these aren’t requirements, just things we think would be particularly valuable.
