ph3Main purpose /h3 pWe are seeking a bBunker Operator /b to join our Madrid team, providing critical operational support to our physical bunkering business. This role sits at the heart of our marine fuel supply chain, ensuring seamless execution from deal confirmation through to final delivery. /p h3Key responsibilities /h3 ul liProvide end to end trader support for physical bunkering operations, including scheduling and execution of the TFG bunker fleet, contract management, and coordination with suppliers, port agents, inspectors, customs and clients throughout pre and post-delivery phases. /li liConduct daily stock progression analysis, marine fuel blending to meet contract specifications, and storage asset optimization to create value while managing quality and quantity requirements. /li liUndertake voyage planning in compliance with international regulations, monitor vessel performance (speed, consumption, tank cleaning), and respond to operational issues and schedule diversions /li liMaintain accurate and timely updates across all company systems in accordance with company policy, verify supporting documentation against system data, and escalator inconsistencies to relevant departments /li liManage vessel clearances and KYC administration while ensuring strict compliance with local customs regulations, internal procedures, and the company’s Code of Conduct at all times /li liKeep all concerned stakeholders updated with the latest operational data and liaise with key internal TFG departments to confirm alignment on supply requirements /li /ul h3Required qualifications /h3 ul liMinimum 2 years’ experience in bunker or oil operations, marine fuel trading, or shipping operations.
/li liExperience in physical commodities or energy trading environment /li liProficiency in voyage planning and vessel operations management /li liStrong understanding of marine fuel specifications, blending operations, and quality control /li liExperience with inventory management and stock optimization /li liFamiliarity with trading and operations management systems /li liAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting /li liKnowledge of international maritime regulations and compliance requirements /li liUnderstanding of customs procedures and port operations /li liFamiliarity with bunker supply chain processes from procurement to delivery /li liKnowledge of KYC (Know Your Customer) procedures and documentation requirements /li liFluent English (written and spoken) /li /ul h3Preferred qualifications /h3 ul liBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Maritime Studies, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field /li liSpanish language skills /li liAdditional languages advantageous /li /ul h3Attributes for success /h3 ul liStrong coordination and multitasking abilities across multiple stakeholders /li liExcellent communication/influencing skills for liaising with suppliers, agents, inspectors, and clients /li liAccurate and efficient working style with good attention to detail. /li liProblem-solving skills for responding to operational issues and vessel diversions /li liAble to work in an independent, proactive manner and motivated to work to deadlines and succeed in a high-speed environment. /li liAmbitious,
