We are looking for a Forward Deployed AI Engineer to accelerate AI adoption within one of Axpo’s business areas, initially supporting teams across the CEO COO divisions, including Strategy, Communications, Procurement, HR, IT, Legal, and other corporate functions. You will work directly with business experts to identify opportunities, rapidly prototype AI solutions, and turn promising ideas into practical tools that create measurable value. As part of the Generative AI Competence Center, you will collaborate closely with AI engineers, product owners, and other Forward Deployed AI Engineers to share reusable components, engineering best practices, and lessons learned across the company. /ph3What you will do /h3ulliPartner with business stakeholders to understand their challenges and identify high-impact opportunities for AI. /liliRapidly prototype AI solutions together with users to validate ideas and demonstrate business value. /liliEvolve and extend existing AI applications by introducing new capabilities and adapting them to changing business needs. /liliHelp teams adopt AI by providing technical guidance, facilitating workshops, and supporting experimentation. /liliTranslate business problems into scalable AI solutions by combining strong software engineering with modern AI technologies. /liliCollaborate with other AI engineers to reuse shared components, contribute improvements, and avoid duplicated effort. /liliDevelop reusable patterns, coding standards,



and best practices that strengthen Axpo’s AI engineering community. /liliStay up to date with the latest AI technologies and continuously explore how they can create value across the business. /liliHelp prioritize AI initiatives based on business value, technical feasibility, and strategic impact. /li /ulh3What you bring /h3ulliA degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. /liliExperience building software applications using latest AI technologies. /liliStrong Python development skills and experience building cloud-based applications using CI/CD, DevOps practices, Azure services, and Agile development methodologies. /liliExperience with LLM APIs, agentic workflows, RAG, orchestration frameworks, AI coding assistants, or similar technologies. /liliThe ability to quickly turn ambiguous business challenges into working prototypes. /liliStrong communication skills and confidence working directly with stakeholders from diverse business functions. /liliA proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for discovering opportunities and driving innovation. /liliExperience with cloud platforms such as Azure or Databricks is a plus. /liliFluent in English; German is a plus. /li /ulh3Benefits /h3pAt our company, we strive to create a culture of continuous learning, personal growth,
