Experteer Overview
As a Design Engineer at Siemens Energy, you will design and optimize MV/LV transformer stations for utilities, data centers, and industrial facilities. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver compliant, safe, and scalable substations that support the energy transition. Your work will cover single line diagrams, protection schemes, and layouts, balancing performance with cost and safety. This role offers impact across engineering, sales, and manufacturing, with emphasis on innovation and quality in a hybrid work setting.

Compensaciones / Beneficios
• Design MV/LV transformer stations (10-36 kV / 0.4-1 kV) including single line diagrams, protection schemes, and cable layouts
• Specify key components (power transformers, MV switchgear, LV switchboards) and perform load flow, short-circuit, and voltage drop calculations
• Optimize layouts for footprint, cooling, accessibility, safety, and integrate enclosures and fire protection




• Ensure IEC standards and local grid code compliance; support certification and type testing
• Collaborate with sales, project management, and suppliers; review drawings and provide technical clarifications

Responsabilidades
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• 3-7+ years of experience in MV distribution systems and transformer stations
• Proficient with AutoCAD/EPLAN and electrical calculation tools (ETAP, DIgSILENT)
• Structured, detail-oriented, strong problem-solving, cross-functional collaboration
• Experience with prefabricated substations, data center, or industrial power distribution (advantage)
• Proficient in written and spoken English; Italian mandatory
