Pastoral opportunities may be available. /p h3KEY RESPONSIBILITIES /h3 h3Planning, Teaching and Class Management /h3 ul liIdentifying clear teaching objectives and specifying how they will be taught and assessed. Setting tasks, which challenge pupils and ensure high levels of interest. /li liSetting appropriate and demanding expectations. /li liSetting clear targets, building on prior attainment. /li liIdentifying SEN or very able pupils. /li liProviding clear structures for lessons maintaining pace, motivation and challenge. Making effective use of assessment and ensure coverage of programmes of study. Ensuring effective teaching and best use of available time. /li liMonitoring and intervening to ensure sound learning and behaviour for learning using the school´s policies and procedures. /li liUsing a variety of teaching and learning methods to meet the needs of all pupils across all subjects. /li liEvaluating your own teaching critically to improve effectiveness. /li liManaging other adults in the classroom as appropriate. /li /ul h3Monitoring, assessment, recording and reporting /h3 ul liAssess how well learning objectives have been achieved and use them to improve specific aspects of teaching. /li liMark and monitor pupil’s work and set targets for progress. /li liAssess and record pupil’s progress systematically and keep records to check work is understood and completed, monitor strengths and weaknesses, inform planning and recognise the level at which the pupil is achieving. /li liPrepare and present informative reports to parents. /li /ul h3Pastoral care /h3 ul liUndertaking pastoral and tutorial duties, and supporting pupils on an individual basis through academic or personal difficulties; monitor attendance and punctuality and report any concerns to Parents and Head of Key Stage as appropriate. /li /ul h3Other professional requirements are to /h3 ul liOperate at all times within the stated policies and practices of the school.
