Experteer Overview
In this role you define and develop the FDIR architecture for space systems, ensuring ECSS compliance and guiding system autonomy. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to balance hardware, software, and operational strategies, applying standard reference architectures. You’ll drive standardization and ensure high-quality documentation across the spacecraft architecture. This position offers visibility in flagship European programs and an opportunity to shape fault management for future missions.

• Define and develop FDIR architecture for space systems
• Ensure ECSS-E-ST-70-11C and ECSS-E-ST-70-41 compliance
• Design system-level autonomy concepts and functional architectures
• Perform trade-off analyses between hardware redundancy, software autonomy, and ground intervention
• Apply SAVOIR FDIR Handbook guidelines for standardization
• Coordinate FDIR-related activities across multidisciplinary teams
• Support system engineering activities ensuring FDIR integration
• Review and validate technical documentation for consistency and quality
Responsabilidades
• Bachelor in Aerospace Engineering or Computer Engineering
• 5-10 years of experience under ECSS standards
• Proven track record in complex space system projects focusing on FDIR or system-level autonomy
• Deep expertise in ECSS-E-ST-70-11C and ECSS-E-ST-70-41
• Familiarity with SAVOIR FDIR Handbook and reference architectures
• Strong ability to manage trade-offs between hardware, software, and operational strategies
• High level of English
