ppJob Description: A position for a Low Observability (LO) Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe (Madrid). The successful applicant will join the LO Engineering Spain Department. In general terms, a LO Engineer in this Department is expected: /ppTo understand the foundations of Operational Analysis and Preliminary Design. To understand the influence of vehicle architecture on multi‑spectral signature. To understand the overall product life cycle of military aircraft with respect to its influence on signature. To master the area of signature reduction. To master LO design and analysis (radar, IR and visual), being able to specify designs and architectures to meet LO requirements. To characterize and validate signature via simulations and measurements, defining the adequate simulation / test plans. /ph3RESPONSIBILITIES /h3ulliTo perform advanced LO analysis and Radar Cross Section (RCS) predictions using electromagnetic (EM) simulation tools (both proprietary and commercial). /liliActive participation in multidisciplinary designs. /liliPropose design modifications (geometry, materials…) and drive designs to achieve LO requirements. /liliTo prepare complex CAD geometries to get accurate results from electromagnetic solvers. /liliTo post‑process and interpret large volumes of simulation data, translating them into clear, actionable design recommendations for multidisciplinary engineering teams. /liliTo devise test plans and validate simulation results against measurement of real prototypes, quantifying both simulation and measurement limitations. /liliTo research in the field of stealth to have a solid understanding of the discipline (past, present and future) to drive the design activities. /li /ulh3SKILLS /h3h3Required Technical Skills: /h3ulliDegree in Telecommunication Engineering, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Physics. /liliStrong background in EM theory: e.g. scattering and radiation phenomena, EM properties of materials, wave propagation,
