Community & Content Manager (FR/NL) — Brussels
You are bilingual FR and NL, and eco-responsible living is important to you. You wish to contribute to the eco-centric transition. Come and give a voice to the eco-positive community.
Who we are
EcoShift is a digital platform. Our purpose is to accelerate the transition to ecopositive consumption, for the wellbeing of all.
Since the company was created in July 2025, Nature is a shareholder and a member of our board of directors. A first in Belgium. Not a symbol. A seat, a voice and a vote.
Through our native mobile app, EcoShift:
- makes ecopositive choices easier for consumers,
- connects them directly with certified eco-professionals,
- grows the ecopositive community.
We open to the public on 10 September 2026, across Belgium.
Today we are four. You would be the fifth member of the team.
The movement is already under way. We are here to amplify it.
Across Belgium, people are already changing the way they eat, dress, move and buy. Quietly, one decision at a time. Certified professionals are already doing the work, often without anyone noticing. They did not wait for us, and they were right not to.
What is missing is not conviction. It is visibility, and a way to find one another.
That is where EcoShift comes in. We are not inventing a movement. We are giving one that already exists the means to be seen, and to grow.
Why this role matters to us
What we are building only comes alive if people arrive, come back, and bring others with them. That is the work we are entrusting to you.
You will speak to our two audiences, the people who use the app and the certified professionals who welcome them. You will shape our voice. You will turn attention into downloads and into real use. And you will grow and care for a community that is about to exist for the first time,
in French and in Dutch.
What you will do
- Feed the app. Plan, write and publish the daily content of our home feed: news, stories, photos, quotes, polls. The editorial calendar is yours.
- Run our channels. Build our presence in both languages, and turn it into downloads and real use.
- Hold the community. Answer, welcome, encourage, moderate, always in the language the person chose to write in. You are the voice people will meet first.
- Support the launch. Press kit, media list, opinion leaders, influencers. You build the lists and you see them through.
- Open the door to eco-professionals. Write and run the sequences that bring certified professionals onto the platform and help them publish their first campaign.
- Tell us what you see. A weekly read on what worked, what did not, and what you would try next.
The launch strategy and the media budget sit with our CEO. That is deliberate, and we say it plainly so that you know where your ground begins and ends. What is yours is the voice, the content and the community. It is a lot, and it is the part that decides whether any of this works.
Who you are
- You are bilingual in French and Dutch, written and spoken. You write in both languages rather than translating between them. This matters more than anything else here, because half the people who will write to us will do so in Dutch, and they deserve a real answer in their own language.
- Your English is comfortable: we keep our internal documentation in English.
- You bring at least 3 years of relevant experience in community management,
content or digital communication.
- You are in Brussels, or you can be here regularly.
- Ecoresponsibility is part of how you live, not a line on a page.
- You work well on your own. There is no marketing department here. There is a small team that will be glad you came, and a lot of room to shape the role around what you do best.
How we talk to people
We are ecopositive. That is the opposite of eco-anxious.
We encourage and we celebrate. We never make anyone feel guilty. Every step counts, and we do not rank the small ones below the large ones. We do not blame politicians and we do not blame companies. Our energy goes into what each person can choose and do. Our brand signature is Choose, Act, Enjoy.
If that is already close to how you write, we would like to hear from you.
Practical
- Self-employed service contract, 3 days per week, agreed days.
- Hybrid, Brussels. Mostly remote, with regular meetings in person and interaction with us, a small team.
- Start between 17 August and 1 September 2026, depending on your availability.
- 1 500 to 2 200 EUR excluding VAT per month, plus warrants, plus a step-up written into the contract from day one. You choose the balance between the fixed fee and the warrants. EcoShift is financed today by its founder's own funds, and we would rather make you an offer we will honour than one we would have to revisit in three months.
How to apply
Send your CV and three paragraphs, no more, telling us why this one, to
[email protected].
If we take things further, we will invite you to a paid writing exercise of about two hours (150 EUR excl. VAT, paid whatever we decide together afterwards). Not to catch you out. Simply because tone is the heart of this work, and a CV cannot show it.
We look at skills, at the way you write, and at what draws you to this. Every application is read, and every application receives an answer.
