Business Development Manager – Air & Ocean Freight

Location: Antwerp, Belgium

Our client is an internationally recognised freight forwarding business with a strong presence across Europe and an extensive global Air & Ocean Freight network. Due to continued growth, they are looking to strengthen their commercial team with the appointment of an experienced Business Development Manager based in Antwerp.

Reporting into the commercial leadership team, this position is focused on securing new business across Belgium. You'll work closely with operations, pricing and product specialists to develop tailored freight forwarding solutions for customers operating across international supply chains.

This role is adecuado for an experienced hunter who understands the Belgian freight forwarding market and enjoys developing long-term partnerships with importers, exporters and multinational customers.

Key Responsibilities

- Generate new Air & Ocean Freight business across Belgium.
- Develop relationships with senior decision-makers within logistics, procurement and supply chain functions.
- Design tailored solutions across Air Freight, Ocean Freight (FCL & LCL), multimodal transport, customs and value-added logistics services.
- Lead customer presentations, commercial negotiations, tenders and RFQ submissions.




- Work closely with operations and procurement teams to develop competitive logistics solutions.
- Develop strategic customer relationships with a strong focus on profitable GP growth.
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline while consistently exceeding commercial objectives.

About You

- Proven experience selling Air & Ocean Freight forwarding solutions.
- Strong understanding of international freight operations, trade lanes and global supply chains.
- Experience managing complex commercial opportunities and customer tender processes.
- A successful track record of winning new business within the freight forwarding sector.
- Excellent commercial, negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Fluent in English. Dutch and/or French language skills would be highly advantageous.
