Who we are

At SourceBright we combine a boutique consulting business with an AI-native software platform. Every day, our consultants work alongside clients, solving complex procurement challenges. Through our deep domain expertise we push the frontier of which activities and services can be automated, based on real customer problems and feedback.

We've partnered with an experienced software development studio to build our MVP, which will be released shortly. As we move into the next phase, we're building our own internal product and engineering team.

As such we’re looking for our first AI Product Engineer: someone excited by the opportunity to help build a product from the ground up, work closely with customers, and help shape both our technology and our engineering culture.

What you'll do

Your responsibilities will include:

- Working directly with consultants and clients to understand real-world business problems
- Evolving our MVP into a scalable, production-ready SaaS platform
- Designing, prototyping and building AI-powered product features from concept to production
- Building robust backend services, APIs and integrations with customer systems
- Designing agent workflows, retrieval pipelines and evaluation frameworks
- Improving product quality through experimentation, benchmarking and customer feedback
- Helping define our engineering standards, architecture and development practices
- Playing a key role in growing our engineering capability as the company scales

Who you are

You'll probably recognise yourself in most of the following:





- You have several years of software engineering experience
- You have hands-on experience with LLMs, AI agents, RAG, prompt engineering, embeddings, vector databases and related technologies.
- You understand how to build reliable AI products and features through evaluation, guardrails and continuous iteration.
- You have experience building and maintaining production-grade software applications which comply with corporate security standards
- You have experience designing scalable APIs and integrating with external systems.
- You're familiar with cloud-native development, containerisation and CI/CD practices. Experience with Azure is a plus.
- You enjoy collaborating directly with end users to understand their problems.
- You're pragmatic, curious and comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment.
- You're fluent in English.

Procurement experience is not required—we have that well covered in the team.
