About the Role We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Government Affairs Coordinator to support WTTC's Government Affairs function. Working closely with the VP Government Affairs and the wider team, you will help coordinate government engagement activities, monitor policy developments, prepare briefing materials and support relationships with governments, international organisations and industry partners.
This role is ideal for someone with an interest in public policy, international affairs or consulting who is looking to develop their career in a global organisation operating at the intersection of government, policy and Travel & Tourism. Key Responsibilities
Government Affairs Support
Support the implementation of WTTC's government affairs and advocacy activities in line with organisational priorities.
Monitor policy developments, legislative proposals and regulatory trends affecting the Travel & Tourism sector, including areas such as visas, connectivity and sustainability.
Conduct research and prepare summaries,
briefing notes and background papers for internal and external stakeholders.
Assist in preparing materials for meetings, presentations and speaking engagements.
Stakeholder
Coordination
Support the development and maintenance of relationships with government stakeholders, tourism authorities and international organisations.
Coordinate meetings with government representatives, including scheduling, logistics, agendas and follow-up actions.
Maintain and regularly update WTTC's government stakeholder database.
Track engagement activities and ensure appropriate follow-up with internal teams. Member & Industry Engagement
Support engagement with WTTC Members on government affairs initiatives and working groups.
Assist in coordinating meetings, preparing agendas, recording minutes and following up on agreed actions.
Help coordinate collaboration with industry associations and strategic partners.
Contribute to the preparation of joint advocacy materials and policy initiatives where appropriate.
International
Organisations
Support collaboration with international organisations such as UN agencies, OECD and regional institutions.
Assist in coordinating internal contributions for consultations, meetings and collaborative initiatives.
Help prepare briefing materials and background research for international events and forums. Administration & Project Coordination
Provide administrative support to the Government Affairs team, including travel coordination, meeting logistics and budget tracking.
Maintain organised records of projects, stakeholder interactions and policy developments.
Assist with reporting on government engagement activities and project progress.
Support the planning and coordination of internal and external Government Affairs events. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in International Relations, Political Science, Public Policy, Law, Economics or a related field.
1–3 years of experience in government affairs, public policy, international relations, consulting, public affairs or a related environment.
Internship or experience within government institutions, international organisations, trade associations or consultancies would be advantageous. Required skills

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Strong research and analytical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and professional briefing materials.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under deadlines.
Good stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively across multicultural teams and international environments.
Professional, diplomatic and discreet approach when dealing with confidential information.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
Fluency in English is essential; additional languages would be an advantage.
