Festival de Cinema Llatinoamericà de Barcelona 16.03.2026 – 23.03.2026 latcinemafest.americat.barcelona/ca Festivals Festival de Cinema Llatinoamericà de Barcelona Description LATcinema Fest brings the best current Latin American cinema to Barcelona with guest filmmakers and parallel activities to feel and learn from the seventh art Organized by Casa Amèrica Catalunya, LATcinema Fest was born in 2022 to offer the best recent Latin American cinema and bring the diversity and quality of titles generated on the continent closer to the public. The programming is carefully selected and observing what issues are being filmed on the Latin American continent. We find films that address issues that cross space-time borders, making them universal, such as freedom, access to fundamental resources, the challenges of youth, human rights and memory.

We also approach film schools, offering different masterclasses following the visit of the filmmakers who visit us. We also work to weave ties and alliances with other institutions and festivals that also focus on Latin American cinema.



Next edition The Barcelona Latin American Film Festival - LATcinema Fest celebrates its fourth edition from March 18 to 23 with 21 productions that will open a window on the Latin American continent and the Caribbean for six days.

A diverse and quality program that focuses on the intersection of perspectives, film genres, stories and origins, with films from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Cuba, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Paraguay, the Dominican Republic, Chile and Venezuela.

This year the festival has more guests than ever: eleven filmmakers will travel to Barcelona to accompany their works and enrich each session with the exchange of impressions and experiences with the audience. As a novelty, the 2025 edition includes its first retrospective, which will be dedicated to the Chilean actor, playwright and director Alfredo Castro, one of the key figures in contemporary Latin American cinema.
