You will promote a culture of safety and security awareness which is engaging and informative. /p /brpYou will be based in Madrid and will report directly into the Head of Retail Operations Excellence, Europe Middle East. For the security part of the role, you will functionally report to the Integral Security Director. /p /brpbYour role will be: /b /p /brpbHealth Safety: /b /p /brul /brliManage occupational risks across all departments, fostering a culture of safety and inclusivity. /li /brliEnsure adherence to internal Retail HS policies and procedures company-wide. /li /brliConduct routine inspections (risk assessments) and audits of retail facilities to identify hazards and ensure regulatory compliance (e.g., general, fire, psychosocial, ergonomics). /li /brliProvide reports on legal compliance regarding HS matters. /li /brliCollaborate with Store Managers, Market Leaders, HR and other key stakeholders to address safety concerns and implement corrective actions. /li /brliOrganize and implement training programs on HS (safety protocols, emergency procedures, and injury prevention strategies). /li /brliMaintain accurate records related to health and safety activities, including incident reports and training records. /li /brliDevelop and execute emergency management plans. /li /brliLiaise with Occupational Healthcare services and devise appropriate action plans. /li /brliOversee internal accident reporting and investigation systems. /li /brliCoordinate HS compliance among external suppliers. /li /brliRepresent the company in local HS Committees alongside employee representatives. /li /brliConduct regular inspections and ensure compliance with fire prevention measures. Investigate accidents, incidents,
and near misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures. /li /brliCoordinate awareness campaigns and training initiatives for Health, Safety, and Wellbeing. /li /brliStay updated on health and safety regulations and industry best practices to ensure compliance. /li /brliAct as the main point of contact for health and safety inquiries from retail employees and external stakeholders. /li /brliCultivate relationships with regulatory agencies, industry organizations, and partners to stay informed on retail health and safety trends. /li /br /ul /brpbMaintenance: /b /p /brul /brliEstablish and embed a consistent maintenance management process across the store network, including clear intake, triage, prioritization, escalation, and tracking of issues; coordinate with local and regional teams and internal functions (e.g., architecture, security, operations) to ensure timely resolution. /li /brliManage supplier engagement and performance to support efficient, compliant, and cost-effective service delivery. /li /br /ul /brpbSecurity: /b /p /brul /brliContribute to the implementation of security measures in accordance with the guidelines provided by the Security Department. /li /br /ul /brpbWhat is important for the role: /b /p /brul /brli5+ years of experience in a HS role at a similar level, highly contributing and influential within a business. /li /brliKnowledge, certification and qualification in relevant HS courses and processes. /li /brliAbility to interpret and provide legal and authoritative advice on health and safety and risk management issues. /li /brliExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decision-making and drive change across all levels of the organization.
/li /brliStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail. /li /brliAbility to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced retail environment. /li /brliProven track record of developing and implementing effective health and safety programs in a retail environment. /li /brliExperience in completing HS audits and implementing relevant action plans is highly desirable. /li /brliExperience in training and coaching to develop health and safety knowledge and expertise with a business. /li /brliSelf-driven initiative and able to plan work independently. /li /brliInherent interest for HS topics and the well‑being of people. /li /brliAble to travel in the Europe and Middle East on a regular basis. /li /brliFluent in English.
