Eurecat's Water, Air and Soil Technology Unit (WAS) develops and optimises technologies and processes aimed at improving the management of water, air and soil, as well as recovering and valorising the resources associated with them. We collaborate with companies from a wide range of sectors on research, development and innovation projects designed to enhance their economic, environmental and social sustainability.

We combine advanced modelling tools with experimental capabilities at laboratory, pilot plant and full scale to develop, optimise and validate new technologies and applications. Our activities encompass pollutant treatment and monitoring, the reduction of pollutant releases into the environment, resource recovery and the transition towards circular economy models.

We design tailored solutions and experimental procedures, supporting companies throughout the innovation process: from initial conceptualisation and testing to demonstration and implementation. This progressive approach helps reduce the technical risks inherent in R&D;&I; projects.





The Unit’s multidisciplinary expertise, together with the capabilities of Eurecat’s different technology areas, enables us to address complex and specific challenges in sectors including water treatment, the chemical, food and pharmaceutical industries, primary industries and capital goods manufacturing, among others.

To strengthen the WAS Technology Unit team, Eurecat is looking for an experienced (advanced) researcher to contribute to the preparation, coordination and implementation of national and international R&D;&I; projects related to biological technologies for the environmental treatment of air and gas streams.

What will you work on? Roles and responsibilities

- Drive the development of biological technologies within Eurecat’s Air and Gases research line.
