Working closely with business and data stakeholders, the consultant translates governance principles into usable definitions, ownership models, and validation rules that support consistent data usage and long‑term operational discipline. /p h3Your Tasks /h3 ul liDefine Critical Data Elements (CDEs) and the rules governing their ownership, stewardship, and usage. /li liEstablish business glossary and metadata standards, including definition conventions and minimum metadata requirements. /li liDefine data quality control rules, baselines, and escalation principles for critical data. /li liDefine governance inputs and structural requirements required for operationalization in a data governance platform. /li /ul h3What do we expect from you? /h3 h3Data Governance Expertise (Framework Process Design) /h3 ul liCritical Data Elements (CDEs):



Proven experience establishing qualification criteria, running discovery sessions, consolidating inventories across business domains, and assigning clear data ownership/stewardship roles. /li liData Quality (DQ) Profiling: Ability to profile datasets, define DQ rules (completeness, validity, consistency, uniqueness), set severity thresholds, and design baseline quality scorecards and remediation backlogs. /li liBusiness Glossary Metadata: Experience structuring business definitions and capturing metadata attributes (domain, data lineage, systems of record). /li /ul h3Enterprise Reporting Standards BI Governance /h3 ul liKPI Standardization: Experience reviewing current‑state executive/operational reports to map lineage, spot calculation contradictions, and build unified Enterprise KPI dictionaries. /li liChange Management Adoption: Ability to validate reporting standards with business units, pilot new dashboard templates, and establish formal certification/approval workflows. /li /ul h3Tool Readiness / Microsoft Purview Familiarity /h3 ul liWhile you won’t be doing hands‑on deployment, you must know how Microsoft Purview ingests data. /li liYou’ll need to structure metadata, define logical catalogue models, map out workflow requirements (approval flows), and document technical configuration requirements so a technical team can seamlessly take over.
