RELOCATION - Senior Technical Director / Project Manager (Construction) — Relocation to Lombok, Indonesia Mojo Developments Group | Kuta Mandalika, Lombok, Indonesia We are a boutique villa developer based in Lombok, Indonesia, with 8 active projects in the Mandalika Special Economic Zone and a pipeline to scale up to 100 villas over the next 3 years. We sell off-plan villas to international investors and we're looking for a senior Technical Director / Project Manager to lead execution from the client side, based on the ground in Lombok.
What you'll do Lead the technical and economic execution of our villa projects from the developer side. We don't build ourselves, we contract local construction companies and oversee their work. You'll be responsible for 8 projects in parallel across different stages: design, tendering, construction and handover.
Your responsibilities will include reviewing and auditing contractor BoQs, controlling budgets and cost deviations, managing variation orders and contractor claims, coordinating with architects, structural and MEP engineers, conducting regular site visits, validating progress certifications and quality, defining technical standards and processes that scale, and reporting directly to the founders. You will build and lead the technical team on the ground, including local site supervisors and quantity surveyors.
What we're looking for - Bachelor's degree in Building Engineering, Architectural Technology, Architecture, Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 8 years of on-site experience, with at least 5 years on the developer or client side
- Proven track record managing multiple projects simultaneously (not a single mega-project)
- Strong on cost control, quantity take-offs, progress valuations and contract management
- Experienced in auditing and negotiating with construction companies
- Able to read, coordinate and challenge architectural, structural and MEP drawings
- Fluent English (working with local contractors and international clients)
- Proactive, resourceful, comfortable in a fast-paced environment with tight margins
- Genuinely interested in relocating to Lombok and committing for a minimum of 24 months Nice to have - Previous international experience or work in developing countries
- Background in luxury villas, hospitality or premium residential
- Experience with cost control tools beyond Excel (Presto, Arquimedes, Cost-It, etc.)
- Spanish language What we offer - NET salary of 2,500 to 3,000 EUR per month, depending on experience.
