Commitment: 10–40 hours/week What You'll Do Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Ruby and Ruby-based frameworks

Review, analyze, and improve existing codebases for correctness, performance, and maintainability

Evaluate realistic software engineering scenarios to help create and validate high-quality technical datasets

Collaborate asynchronously with researchers and engineers to support AI training and evaluation efforts





Apply production-grade engineering thinking to real-world backend and API problems Who You Are 2+ years of professional software engineering experience

Strong proficiency in Ruby and backend development concepts

Comfortable working with production codebases, RESTful APIs, and data-driven systems

Detail-oriented and analytical — you can clearly explain your technical decisions in writing

Self-motivated and dependable when working independently without close supervision Nice to Have Experience with Ruby on Rails or other Ruby-based frameworks

Familiarity with AI tools, data pipelines, or technical evaluation workflows

Background in code review, system design, or software architecture
