ppJob Description Job Description bSummary /b /p pWe’re partnered with a well-established civil engineering firm that’s known for its land development work across Southern California. They’re looking to bring on a Civil Project Engineer who can take on real design responsibility and start owning pieces of projects, not just drafting behind the scenes. /p pThis is a good fit for someone who’s past the entry-level phase, comfortable in Civil 3D, and wants to keep growing toward full project ownership. You’ll be involved from early design through permitting and into construction, working closely with PMs, agencies, and field teams. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 h3Design Technical Work /h3 ul liPrepare and review civil plans, calculations, and specs for land development and public improvement projects /li liDesign grading, drainage, street, sewer, water, and storm drain systems /li liPerform hydrology/hydraulic analysis, earthwork calculations, and utility layouts /li liSupport SWPPP, NPDES, and erosion control documentation /li liWork closely with CAD teams to produce clean, agency-ready plans /li /ul h3Project Coordination /h3 ul liSupport PMs with schedules, budgets, and overall project execution /li liCoordinate with subconsultants, contractors,
and agency reviewers during design and permitting /li liRespond to plan check comments and keep projects moving through approvals /li liAssist with tentative/final maps and entitlement processes /li liJoin client and agency meetings as needed /li /ul h3Construction Support /h3 ul liHelp respond to RFIs and review submittals during construction /li liConduct site visits and document field conditions /li liCoordinate with contractors and inspectors to resolve issues in the field /li /ul h3Quality Documentation /h3 ul liEnsure deliverables meet internal standards and agency requirements /li liKeep project files, permits, and correspondence organized /li liAssist with project closeout and as‑built documentation /li /ul h3Project Experience /h3 ul liResidential and commercial land development /li liGrading, drainage, and site design /li liStreet, sewer, water, and storm drain improvements /li liHydrology and hydraulic studies /li liPublic agency plan check and permitting /li liSWPPP / erosion control /li libProjects typically ranging from $1M to $20M+ /b /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul li3–7+ years of civil engineering experience (land development or public works) /li liEIT required; PE in progress or recently obtained is a big plus /li liStrong Civil 3D and AutoCAD experience /li liFamiliar with local agency standards, grading requirements, and utilities /li liSolid technical writing and problem-solving skills /li liAble to manage multiple projects and deadlines /li liComfortable working with clients, agencies, and contractors /li liBachelor’s in Civil Engineering /li /ul h3Compensation Benefits /h3 ul liBonus potential /li liMedical, dental, and vision coverage /li li401(k) with match /li liEIT / PE support and reimbursement /li liPTO + paid holidays /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
