Description

A Microsoft SQL Server infrastructure service will be provided to support the design, evolution, and operational stability of enterprise database platforms. The service will focus on ensuring availability, security, scalability, and performance across SQL Server environments, while aligning technical solutions with customer requirements and corporate standards.

The service will include architecture design, technical documentation, automation initiatives, platform migrations, high-availability solutions, backup and recovery strategies, incident resolution, and continuous improvement activities. Support will also be provided for infrastructure optimization, security enhancements, and technology transformation initiatives in highly regulated enterprise environments.

Tasks

Write HLDs and LLD for the features to be delivered (Plus other agile artefacts)

Participate in the design brainstorming sessions.

Build artifacts.

Develop value proposition for changes / new requirements

Identify Innovation Opportunities

Participate to Agile events – roadmap, scrum, stand up etc.

Communication with the team members / Delivery Lead to align views and status (PI preparation meeting), providing updates via JIRA

Skills

Able to lead & manage customer meeting in English

5+ Years of infrastructure / technical delivery

Hands-on experience in Microsoft SQL Server (especially version 2019,



2022, 2025).

SQL Server infrastructure experience on Microsoft Windows Server.

As a bonus (but not mandatory), experience of SQL Server on Linux is a plus.

Looking for SQL Server infrastructure implementation design knowledge (neither looking for an SQL expert, nor specialist in tuning queries, or indexes).

Experience on one of the SQL Server high availability solutions (Always-On, Windows Server failover clustering, etc…).

Experience of SQL Server backup solutions such as full, diff, transaction log, copy only, filegroup, etc...

Knowledge of SQL Server tooling is a plus (SSMS, …).

Experience in security related topics between SQL Server, Windows and a corporate directory service (Kerberos, certificates).

Experience on TDE (Transparent Data Encryption) on any database engine is a plus.

Basic knowledge of using / modifying firewall rules related to SQL Server and its associated tooling

Experience managing complex L3 problems

Experience of migrating from old version to new ones

Bonus : Experience of migrations from Oracle to SQL Server.

Experience in working in highly regulated security focused environments

Has good technical and communication skills and work in dynamic environment.

Perform technology watch.





Very strong ability to develop PowerShell scripts or analyse / modify existing ones.

Basic Git usage is a plus.

Able to provide automation specifications to the Ansible team.

Constraints

Only Spanish, French or German citizens (dual nationalities allowed, with some restrictions).

Can only operate from those 3 countries also.

5 must have skills

Extensive SQL Server infrastructure integration experience, including shell scripting.

Fluency in English

Able to drive design decisions based on customer strategy

Able to manage customer facing meetings

Writing architecture documents

Location Can work remotely (refer to constraints for allowed countries)

Horario que cubrir: lunes a viernes de 7:00 - 19:00. Turnos 7:00 - 15:00; de 9:00 a 18:00 ó 8:00 a 17:00; 10:00-19:00.
